BEFORE & AFTERCARE

    •Avoid supplements & foods with blood thinning effects. Supplements & foods that have blood thinning effects include dong quai, fish oil, garlic, ginger, dark leafy greens, ginkgo biloba, ginseng, green tea, red clover and vitamin E, and should be discontinued 7 days prior to getting a cosmetic tattoo. These supplements may increase bleeding especially if you’re taking blood thinning medications such as warfarin or non-steroidal anti inflammatory drugs resulting in poor pigment retention. 

    •Avoid any blood thinning medications. A number of medications make your blood less likely to clot (“thinner”) like aspirin, Midol, Exedrin, and NSAIDs ( Advil, Motrin, Naproxen, Aleve). These medications should be discontinued 7 days prior and 1 day following your appointment. If you need to take something for pain opt for Tylenol (acetaminophen). Coumadin and Plavix also have blood thinning effects but it is not recommended to discontinue them due to their medical necessity. You should be aware of an increased risk of bruising if you’re taking them. 

    •I recommend coming to your appointment with your brows grown out. I prefer to see how they naturally grow, and will clean them up for you at your appointment. If you would like to clean them up or tint them beforehand, please do so 7 days prior to your appointment. 

    •If you normally pencil or color in your brows, please pencil them in how you like them. The area will be properly cleaned and re-drawn but this gives me a general idea of the shape you would like.

    •If you do not pencil in your brows, you can bring reference photos of brows you like but it is not necessary. 

    •You must stop using Retin A, Retinal, or Renova around your brow area 14 days prior to procedure. You must stop using Accutane six months prior to procedure.

    •Inform me of how often you use any of these products before your appointment. 

    •Botox, Fillers or Dysport must be done at least 14 days prior to your appointment. It takes 2 weeks to settle in the skin. Receiving either within 14 days of your appointment will result in being sent home and asked to reschedule. 

    •Do not drink alcohol or excessive caffeine 24 hrs before and 24 hrs after your treatment. Both alcohol and caffeine are blood thinners and can result in poor pigment retention. 

    •Do not book any major events (wedding, vacation, social event) during the 2 weeks after procedure, a little peeling or flaking will occur. 

    •You should not wear any makeup, creams or sunscreen on the procedure area until fully healed and no sign of scab. 

    •Avoid facials, chemical peels, or microdermabrasion for 4 weeks prior to appointment and 2 weeks following procedure.

    •Absolutely no anti-aging or anti-acne products on or around procedure area for two weeks prior to your appointment as they contain active ingredients that should be avoided pre + post procedure.

    •The procedure area must be free of all irritations including ingrown hairs, rashes, blemishes, eczema, psoriasis ect.

    •Avoid sweating, sun, gardening, any recreational swimming, pools, hot tubs, tanning booths and all creams around brow area for two weeks after procedure. Please plan accordingly.

    •Although there is no medical evidence that tattooing would have an effect on an unborn child, we don't know for sure. So we suggest you err on the side of caution and come back after the baby is born and you are no longer nursing.

  • THIS INCLUDES MICROBLADING, NANO, BLADE & SHADE, POWDER BROWS

    For 1 hour post appointment, blot your brows with a clean tissue to remove lymph. If the lymph dries, you will experience larger scabs on your brows during the healing process.

    Within the first few hours post appointment, wash your brows with the aftercare soap provided by doing as follows: OUTSIDE OF SHOWER.

    A) Wash hands

    B) Apply one pump of the soap into fingertips and gently rub together.

    C) Wash gently in the direction of hair. It’s a few LIGHT swipes, Just to help remove excess oil and lymph. 

    D) Rinse Thoroughly! Cup your hands together with water and rinse to make sure all soap is removed. Do NOT scrub. 

    E) Pat dry and clean with a paper towel.

    F) 1. Apply balm. A rice grain amount will be enough for both brows. 

          2. Wash morning and night with after soap provided for 10 days.

          3. Apply balm morning, noon, and night with clean hands for 10 days. Rice grain amount will be enough for both brows, not rice grain foreach brow. 

    •Do not exercise or sweat for 10 days following treatment. 

    •Do not apply make up, cleansers or strong skin care products on the area for 10 days until the shedding of the skin is finished and no sign of scab. 

    •Light flaking and shedding might occur after the first 10 days of healing with ointment. Let scabs flake naturally and do not peel or scratch at the area.

    •Do not book Facials or Peels for 4 weeks following your procedure. You must wait a minimum of 14 days after your appointment to receive Botox, Fillers or Dysport. 

    •Stay out of the sun, gardening, tanning booths, sauna, steam room, pools, hot tubs, recreational water activities and direct contact with animals on procedure area until healed and no sign of scab (about 10 - 14 days).

    •Avoid direct water pressure on the tattoo in the shower until you are fully healed and there is no sign of scab. Try to keep the area as dry as possible, aside from washing, for the first 10 days.

    •Sun exposure, chemical peels, microdermabrasion, bleaching products, Retin A, dyes or tinting will fade the tattoo over the years. Use sun protection whenever possible to help color last. 

    •Contact your doctor immediately if the procedure area shows any symptoms or sign of infection, including,  but not limited to red streaks going from the procedure site towards the heart, elevated body temperature, or purulent drainage from the procedure site. Small amount of lymph for the first few hours is normal.

    •Do not pick or scratch at scabs, let brows heal naturally. 

    •If brows are sore or swollen you may apply a cold compress. The area may appear more swollen the next morning, this is normal and will subside throughout the day.

    •The color will fade about 30% after the shedding process, this is completely normal. You will need a touch up 4 to 6 weeks after procedure to fill in any discoloration caused by heeling and shedding process.

    •You must come in for your Second Session within 4 to 8 weeks of original appointment or additional charges may apply.

    •You must have ALL lash extensions removed before you come in for your appointment. If there are ANY lash extensions left on your eyelashes your appointment will result in being sent home and asked to reschedule .

    • You must stop using Latisse or any lash enhancement products 14 days prior to procedure. Please inform me how often you have been using any of these products before your appointment.

    •Botox, Fillers or Dysport must be done at least 14 days prior to your appointment. It takes 2 weeks to settle in the skin. Receiving either within 14 days of your appointment will result in being sent home and asked to reschedule.

    •Do not book any major events (wedding, vacation, social event) for 7 days following procedure, peeling or flaking will occur. Most clients will be done flaking between 3 to 5 days after procedure.

    •You should not wear any makeup, balms or anything aside from ointment provided to you on area until fully healed and no sign of scab.

    •Exfoliate lips for 1 week leading up to appointment using a drop of coconut oil and sugar. Also be sure to use a lip conditioner, balm or mask everyday leading up.

    •If you’ve suffered from a cold sore in the past, you will be at risk for a cold sore flare-up post lip blush treatment. It is encouraged to be proactive to prevent a flare-up. If you have had a cold sore before, it is important to consult with you physician prior to the appointment.

    •Many clients avoid a cold sore post-procedure by taking Valtrex (prescription) or L-Lysine (vitamin supplement). Please read more about this in Lip Blush FAQ. Clients who have had cold sores in the past must consult with physician regarding Valtrex. Take 1 dose of Valtrex on the day of the procedure, and for 3 days following the appointment.

    •Even if you have not had a cold sore before, we recommend all of my clients take L-lysine 2 weeks before the appointment and 2 weeks following the appointment to reduce the risk. ** I will not work an any client who has had cold sore in the past (even if it was 20 years ago) if they have not taken any antiviral medications prior to the treatment.

    •Avoid excessive sweating, sun, gardening, any recreational swimming, pools, hot tubs, saunas, steam rooms, tanning booths, direct contact with animals on procedure and all creams around the area for 5 days after procedure. Please plan accordingly.

    •Although there are no medical evidence that tattooing would have an effect on an unborn child, we don't know for sure. So we suggest you err on the side of caution and come back after the baby is born and you are no longer nursing.

  • •The Lip Tattoo healing process is relatively short, 3 - 5 days post procedure.

    Day 1

    It is very important to remove lymph fluid from the surface of the skin in order to avoid heavy scabbing. Blot lips often for a few hours after procedure with clean paper towel. Before bed, if the lips still have dry lymph, rinse with lukewarm water, gently removing the dry lymph, pat dry and apply aftercare. Sometimes the lips can bruise even after the procedure. Bruising will subside 24 hours post procedure. 

    Days 2-7 

    The lips may be swollen the second day as well. Keep the skin moist at all times, do not let the lips dry out. Continue to apply the aftercare every 30 minutes throughout the day. Again, do NOT let the lips dry out. 

    During Day 1 - Day 7 

    Please avoid:

    Water (on PMU area aside from cleaning them)

    Makeup

    Excessive sweating 

    Sauna 

    Pools 

    Sunbathing 

    Spicy food

    Kissing

    DO NOT pick at the dry lips 

    •Do not apply anything except aftercare provided. No Vaseline, antibiotic creams, Polysporin, etc. Following procedure do not use creams that contain acids or ingredients that lighten or exfoliate skin. Touchups (if needed) can be done no sooner than 8 weeks after the original appointment. 

    •The color will fade about 70% after the shedding process, this is completely normal. The color will slowly “bloom” over the next 8 weeks while healing. You will need a touch up 8 weeks after procedure to fill in any discoloration caused by heeling and shedding process.

    •Avoid excessive sweating, sun, gardening, any recreational swimming, pools, hot tubs, saunas, steam rooms, tanning booths, direct contact with animals on procedure and all creams around the area until fully healed and no sign of scab. (3-6 days)

    •Avoid direct water pressure in shower on tattoo until you are fully healed and there is no sign of scab. 

    •Sun exposure, chemical peels, microdermabrasion, bleaching products, Retinol, will fade tattoo over the years. Use sun protection whenever possible to help color last. 

    •You must come in for your Second Session within 6 - 10 weeks of original appointment or additional charges may apply.

  • THIS INCLUDES FRECKLES & BEAUTY MARKS

    Post-procedure: blot the procedure area every 5 minutes for the first hour (if needed) to absorb excess fluid that may surface.

    Night of procedure: very delicately wash the procedure area with an unscented antibacterial soap such as Cetaphil. Pat dry with a clean cloth or paper towel.

    Starting the morning after your procedure, gently wash the procedure area once per day with a mild cleanser that is fragrance and dye free. Water temperature shouldn’t surpass lukewarm. Pat completely dry with a clean cloth or paper towel. Continue this routine every morning for approximately 1 week (or longer, until area has fully healed).

    Do not apply any other products to the procedure area during the healing process. Vaseline/petroleum jelly should NEVER be used on a healing tattoo.

    Freckles & beauty marks typically take 5-10 days to heal. During this healing period DO NOT wear makeup on the procedure area.

    Avoid the use of any products containing retinol, glycolic acid, anti-aging and anti-acne ingredients for the lifespan of your tattoo.

    Do not touch, pick or scratch your tattoo.

    While showering, keep water at lowest, most tolerable temperature and keep procedure area away from steam as much as possible.

    Avoid open-air vehicles (i.e. motorcycles, boats, convertibles, etc.) during the healing process.

    Avoid excessive sweating, sun, gardening, any recreational swimming, pools, hot tubs, saunas, steam rooms, tanning booths, direct contact with animals on procedure and all creams around the area for 10 days after procedure.

    Once healed, it is recommended you apply sunscreen to your tattoo prior to sun exposure for the lifespan of your tattoo.

    Contact your doctor immediately if the procedure area shows any symptoms or sign of infection, including, but not limited to red streaks going from the procedure site towards the heart, elevated body temperature, or purulent drainage from the procedure site.   • •For 2 hours post procedure, blot the area every 5 minutes with a clean tissue to remove lymph.

    •Over the following 10 days - blot brows with saline solution using a cotton ball 3x a day.

    •As the scabs start to form, keep the area clean and dry. Typically the longer the scabs stay the better.

    •Do not exercise or sweat for 10 days following treatment. 

    •Do not apply make up, cleansers or skin care products on the area for two weeks until the shedding of the skin is finished and no sign of scab. 

    •Do not touch, rub, scratch or pick at the scabs! Doing so will most likely cause scarring like hyperpigmentation as well as prevent the saline from removing as much pigment as possible.

    •Do not book Facials or Peels for 4 weeks following your procedure. You must wait a minimum of 14 days after your appointment to receive Botox, Fillers or Dysport. 

    •Stay out of the sun, gardening, tanning booths, sauna, steam room, pools, hot tubs, recreational water activities and direct contact with animals on procedure area until healed and no sign of scab (about 10 - 14 days).

    •Avoid direct water pressure on your face in the shower until you are fully healed and there is no sign of scab. Try to keep the area as dry as possible.

    •Once all of the scabs have fallen of naturally on their own, you may begin applying a high-quality oil or ointment 3x daily like Vitamin E or Bio Oil. No other creams or ointments should be applied.

    •Keeping up with your ointment application for a minimum of 4 weeks will reduce the risk of scarring or discoloration.

    •The skin may appear pink or discolored for a couple of weeks before returning to its original color.

    •Contact your doctor immediately if the procedure area shows any symptoms or sign of infection, including,  but not limited to red streaks going from the procedure site towards the heart, elevated body temperature, or purulent drainage from the procedure site. Small amount of redness and lymph for the first few days is normal.

  • Your brow hair will be glued into place to set until the following day and can look a little 'intense'. Some like it, some do not. Please look up a photo of what this looks like if you are concerned and plan accordingly. This 'intense' look calms down the following day once the glue can be removed.

    If you are going out after your appointment: Please remember that you cannot get your brows WET for 24 hours! Please bring your makeup with you as it can be wiped away during the appointment.

    It is recommended to wait a minimum of 4 weeks between each treatment.

    Unfortunately, not everyone is a candidate for Permanent Cosmetics. I want each of my clients to get the absolute best results possible, and not every skin type accommodates that.
